Todd started working with dogs in 2021 and immediately found passion in working & communicating with dogs. Todd specializes in group behavior, having experience in working with extremely large packs (groups of over 80-dogs). Todd is licensed, certified, and insured as a dog trainer.
Focusing on behavioral training, Todd emphasizes the value of verbal-praise, or how powerful simply telling your dog “good boy!” can be. The goal of Dog Nuance Dog Training is to ultimately better the relationship between humans and their pets.
My Training Process
In-Home Dog Training
I’ll meet you and your dog at home and work with you to build a custom training plan. You’ll get clear goals and homework to focus on between sessions. As we go, you’ll practice the skills with your dog while I coach your mechanics and guide your progress.
Each Dog is Unique
I recognize each dog has their unique own set of strengths and weaknesses, this is the cornerstone of my training philosophy.
I'm committed to identifying and celebrating these traits; and will create a personalized training plan for you and your pup.

Service dog programs are a serious commitment, typically lasting 6 to 18 months.
Not every dog is cut out for service work. We’ll need to assess suitability, and negotiate a long-term training plan that fits your goals with your dog’s potential.
Types of Training
1-on-1 Training
Build strong dog training skills as I coach your training mechanics. This training will teach you how to lure, mark, and utilize both verbal-cues & hand-signals.
Training focuses on making sure you, the human, understand how to train dogs. This training includes obedience training, behavioral training, & enrichment training, with weekly homework assignments.
Solo Training
Don't have the time to learn the dog training skills? I can train your pup with drop-in Solo Training sessions. This includes targeted training based on your goals, progress updates, and guidance to help maintain progress in your home.
These 30-minute sessions include training walks, real-world exposure, and photos of a happy pup. You can schedule multiple sessions a week, or double sessions for longer field trips and more advanced skill work.
Group Training
Ask about training multiple dogs and/or humans.

In-Home Boot Camp
For select clients. An in-home boot camp option as an alternative to sending your dog away to a facility. Typically 2-hour sessions allow for more targeted work and downtime between reps. Accelerated training while keeping your dog in their normal environment. Sold in 3 to 6 week packages.
